Ok, Now i will explain about Mint Chocolate Milkshake. For some crazy reason, I am having a bit of an obsession when it comes to Mint Chocolate Milkshake anything.
Actually, I lie. I know exactly what got me obsessing on this flavour combo. Can you blame me for falling in love with Pressed Juices Smooth Indulgence Smoothie? You can see the pure happiness in my face on this pic bahahaha!
It’s a growing obsession that I can’t seem to shake! The perfect combination of minty freshness and bittersweet flavours of cacao, and inspired by the awesome people at Pressed Juices, I’ve decided to create my own little mint-chocolate gem and one that I’m sure you’ll absolutely love too.
But don’t let lil ol’ me try to convince you. You, my dear readers, will just have to create it yourself (or buy the original from these guys!)
I added the blue green algae, Spirulina, as my shining star ingredient. You can get it at your local health food store sold as a dried supplement in powder form. There’s a host of benefits your body will love from this supplement but I’m not gonna bore you with the details…that’s what the Internet is for!
But I will say, it’s handy after a dose of antibiotics to replenish lost good bacteria. If that isn’t encouraging enough then how about its rich source of antioxidants that help to fight inflammation caused by free radicals in the body…KAPOW to you free radicals!
I also sprinkled a good dose of maca powder to enhance strength and stamina coz I have such a busy, onerous lifestyle When buying cacao, choose to buy organic as there’s a tonne of pesticides used for the conventional version and keep it dark, at least 70% to get the most antioxidants.
This drink may look more like a smoothie and perhaps it can be if you added more spinach. I chose to keep it light but added heaviness with some coconut cream for a more luxurious texture.
You can also make this vegan by choosing to use a different sweetener like rice malt syrup, maple or agave. Honey was my choice of sweetener so I could benefit from additional enzymes available in raw honey, which aid my digestion.
Don’t forget to shave 70% organic chocolate to your drink. It makes it that much more naughty, when it’s really quite healthy.
